Thread: Including synaptic dynamics to izhikevich model.

Hello everyone,

I am currently carrying out my Ph.D in computational neuroscience. I have a problem including synaptic kinetics of AMPA, NMDA and GABA receptors to a artificial spiking model like izhikevich. I can connect two izhikevich cells but I could not include synaptic kinetics to the izhikevich cells. Can anyone help me in guiding this problem or provide me with some reference materials related to this? I would be very grateful if anyone could kindly help me solve this issue.

I don't know, may be it is too late, but can you explain at first 1) what Izhikevich model are you using
2) how you connect two cells...recently I concider I. model with synaptic currents therefor I don't understand where is problem?
